Please join us for our 17th annual Walk for the Animals at Quiet Waters Park in Annapolis on Sunday, April 27th, 2008. As a loyal supporter of the SPCA of Anne Arundal County you are receiving this early bird invitation to joking us at the Walk between 8 am & 12 noon, rain or shine.

Our Walk for the Animals is a great way to spend the morning at beautiful Quiet Waters Park. Walkers can enjoy the company of other animal lovers and their pets and experience the Best Doggone Walk Festival located in the parking lot of the Blue Heron Center. By participating you will be directly helping the SPCA shelter animals who always in need of your support.

Last year's Walk was a tremendous success with more than 1600 walkers raising an incredible $210,000 . This year's goal is to raise $225,000. Your Donations will help provide care and shelter for the more than 4,000 homeless companion animals that are brought to us every year.

You can make a difference for these homeless animals by giving your friends, family members, neighbors, and co-workers a copy of the pledge sheet. Ask them to collect pledges from their own Walk sponsors. The more pledges collected and money raised, the better the SPCA's ability to provide medical attention, shelter and loving care to the countless animals in need locally.

Our adoption fees only cover 12% of the operating cost of the shelter. Fund-raisers like our Walk for Animals are crucial so that we can continue to provide excellent care for all of our shelter animals. We could not possibly do it without your support.
